In this episode of Talking Property, Debbie Williams talks to private lender Peter Anderson.

In a fascinating interview Peter takes us into the world of private lending, covering the following:

  • The typical interest rates a private lender might offer.
  • How a private lender evaluates a potential loan.
  • Why an investor might consider using private lender funds – and what are the advantages of doing so.
  • The place of private lending in the current economic environment.

Private lending is not a topic that is regularly discussed – and I guarantee you’ll get a lot of thought provoking insights from the information Peter shares.

Here’s a short bio from Peter:

Peter AndersonWell I guess I am just a regular person with a reasonable understanding of the real estate industry and finance. I sort of just fell into lending money some years ago with a friend needing some cash in a hurry which I was able to provide.

Over the last five years or so I have tried to develop a “system” to make the process as safe, easy and painless for both “the borrowers” and myself the “lender”.

It has provided me with an income which gives me the ability to free up more time to do things I want to do!

Hello, I have recently used Peter to settle on a property that I had a shortfall of funds due to finance difficulties with one of the BIG banks. He is very flexible and a man of his word, and I would recommend him to anyone that needs some short-term finance to meet development or renovation costs, or just to get a deal over the line.
